Central Police Organisations Examinations-2009 for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in various Central Government Police Organisations like CRPF, ITBP, CBI, SSB, CISF, BSF etc.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold on 06/09/2009 an open competitive examination on All-India basis for recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organisations in the pay scale of PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs.4200 in the following Central Police Organisation :

1. Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Forces : 2153 posts, Age : 20 to 25 years as on 26/06/2009. Age relaxation of 5 years to SC/ST candidates and 3 years to OBC candidates., Educational Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognised University or equivalent, Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200.

Scheme of Exam : The examination will consist of two parts (i) Written Exam carrying 500 marks and (ii) Personality Test (Interview) will carry 100 marks.

Fee Payable : Rs.100/- (No fee for SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen) by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps only, available at head post office all over the country.

Applications are invited from Engineering Graduates male Indian citizens for 110th Technical Graduates Course (TGC), Post Graduate (Non-Engineering) entry into Army Education Corps (AEC) in the Indian Army.

4. Physical Standard : Min. height 157.5 cm , better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18

5. Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.54oo plus Military Service Pay and other allowances (During the training, the candidates will get Rs.21000/- as Stipend.

Method of Selection : Initial Screening and short listing of applicants will be done at Recruiting Directorate Army Headquarters. Selected (short listed) candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore for fives selection process. In which candidates will be put through Psychological test, Group Test and Interview.
