Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Education Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing January 2010 at NAVAC, INS Zamorin Ezhimala, Kerala.

Eligibility Conditions

Age : Between 21 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1985 to 01 January 1989; both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualifications : (a) BE/B.Tech. with 60% marks in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ IT/Computer Science OR (b) A Post Graduate with minimum 50% marks in Physics or Mathematics. OR (c) A Master's Degree in Computer Science (with Physics or Maths in B.Sc.), M.Sc. Chemistry, MA Eng., MA History OR (d) Master's in Computer Application (MCA) (with Physics or Maths in B.Sc.) with minimum 50% marks OR (e) Post Graduate in Operational analysis and Operational Research Quantitative methods with minimum 75% marks. OR (f) Post Graduate in Mathematics with Probability or Statistics with minimum 75% marks.

Physical Standards : Minimum height Male - 157 cms and Female - 152 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 connectable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

Applications are invited from Engineering Graduates male Indian citizens for 110th Technical Graduates Course (TGC), Post Graduate (Non-Engineering) entry into Army Education Corps (AEC) in the Indian Army.

1. 110th TGC : (a) Engineers : 59 posts (Civil-7, Electrical-4, Mechanical-7, Computer Science-5, Telecom-9, Electronics-06, IT-4, Architecture-2, Public Health Eng-3, Construction Engg-3, Industrial Engg & Management-5, Mining-4) (b) AEC - Post Graduates (Non-Engg) - English/ Economics/ Music (preferably Western Music) - 1)

2. Qualification : TGC : A degree in Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognised university, AEC - MA degree from a recognised university in 1st or IInd division in the concerned subjects

3. Age : TGC : 20 to 27 years. Born between 02 January 1983 and and 01 January 1990, AEC - 23-27 years born between 02 January 1983 and not later than 01 Jan 1987.

4. Physical Standard : Min. height 157.5 cm , better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18

5. Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.54oo plus Military Service Pay and other allowances (During the training, the candidates will get Rs.21000/- as Stipend.

Method of Selection : Initial Screening and short listing of applicants will be done at Recruiting Directorate Army Headquarters. Selected (short listed) candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore for fives selection process. In which candidates will be put through Psychological test, Group Test and Interview.
