National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2010

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA and Naval Academy Examination, 2009 on 18th April, 2010 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for the 125th Course and Naval Academy for the 45th 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course commencing from December 30 th 2010. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Eligibility

Age : 16 and half to 19 years i.e. born between 02/01/1992 and 01/07/1994

Educational Qualification

1. For Army : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects

3. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th exam can also apply.

4. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only. Conditions of Eligibility

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status

For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 (2nd January, 1987 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course : (a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divercees (in possession of diveorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1992.

Educational Qualifications

For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.

For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Note : Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2010 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Application Form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-.

Selection Procedure

Based on the merit in the written test, the required number of qualified candidates will be called for an interview on the next day by a board of officers at the office of the DGAFMS, Ministry of Defence, M Block, New Delhi for final assessment and selection for grant of SSC in Military Nursing Service. Candidates qualifying in the interview will be subjected to medical examination on the third day.

10+2 TES 23rd Course July 2010 Entry by Indian Army

10+2 Technical Entry Scheme Course - 23 Commencing from July 2010

Applications are invited from unmarried male who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions for the grant of permanent commission in the Indian Army.

Eligibility Conditions

1. Qualification : 10+2 (PCM) with 70% marks.

2. Age : 16 and half to 19 and half years i.e. born between 01 Jan 1991 and 01 Jan 1994 (both days inclusive).

3. Physical Standard : Min. height 152 cm and weight 42 kg., better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18.

4. Type of Commission : On successful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. in Arms/Services as per discretion of Army Hq.

5. Pay Scale : Candidates will be entitled to pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP and other allowances.

Method of Selection : Only selected (shortlisted) candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore.

SSC Dental Corps Entry in Indian Army Aug'09

Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Dental Corps EntryApplications are invited from Indian Nationals for grant of Direct Permanent Commission(DPC)/ Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Dental Corps.

Eligibility

1. Short Service Commission : Candidate must be BDS (with min. 55%) marks in final year/ MDS from a recognised College/University. (ii) Should have completed one year rotary internship recognised by Dental Council of India at the time of submission of application. (iii) Should be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificate (iv) less than 45 years of age.

Selection Procedure

1. Candidates found eligible will short listed based on their final BDS marks and attempts taken in Final BDS. Short-listed candidates will be required to appear before the Selection Board for interview only.

Promotion : SSC Officers are eligible for promotion upto the rank of Major.

Tenure : The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 5 years (total SSC tenure 10 years) for those who are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria. However, on completion of 2 years service as SSC officer, they are eligible to apply for Departmental Permanent Commission provided they had not attained the age of 28 years (30 years for MDS degree holders). Permanent Commissioned Officers are eligible for time scale promotion upto the rank of Lt.Col/Colonel (TS) thereafter upto the rank of Lt General by selection.

Fee : One DD of Rs.200/- payable at New Delhi in favour of "Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (AP Fund)".

Eligibility : Candidates must possess medical qualification. Post Graduate degree holders i.e. MD/MS/MCh/DM may also apply. PG Degree in following subjects will be given preference (a) Anesthesia (b) Surgery (c) Obstetrics & Gynecology (d) Medicine (e) Orthopedics (f) Respiratory Medicine. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI. Candidates who will be completing internship by 30/09/09 may also apply.

NCC Special Entry Scheme 27th Course April-2010 Short Service Commission (SSC) (Non-Technology) (OTA, Chennai) for Male & Female The Indian Army is looking for a few good Men and Women. For the best and the brightest amongst you. For men/women with intellect, idealism and courage. Applications are invited from unmarried/married male and unmarried female or widow of defence candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

1. Vacancies : 57 posts [50 posts (10% reserved for wards of Battle Casualties of Army only) for male and 07 posts for women]

2. Age : Not below 19 years and not over 25 years (not born earlier than 02 January 1985 and not later than 01 January 1991)

3. The Criteria of NCC 'C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for SSC (Non-Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai : (i) Educational Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all years. (ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division of NCC (iii) Grading : Should have minimum of 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC.

4. Wards of Battle Casualties : Holding of NCC 'C' Certificate at the time of filling of applications not required. Wards of Battle Casualties send their applications direct to Addl. Date. Gen of Recruiting, Recruiting NCC Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/ wounded/ reported missing in action issued by MP/Date/ Respective Regimental Records and a copy of Part II Order notifying injuries and being classified as Battle Casualties in case of Service/Medically boarded out person. Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Date 15/09/2009 for this category.

5. Pay Scale & Stipend : Stipend during the period of training is Rs.21000/-. On completion they will be commissioned as Lt in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay 5400 and MSP and other allowances.

6. Method of Selection : All Applications in the prescribed format will be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/GP HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to Hq DG NCC. On arrival at the SSB, the Short listed candidates will be administered stage-1 of the two stage testing procedure.

7. Medical Examination : Candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

How to Apply : Apply on the plain paper as per the prescribed format. Applications should be posted to the Units from where the NCC 'C' certificate has been issued. Applications of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by the commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC West Block- IV, R.K. Puram, New Delhi - 110066. All NCC units will forward the application to DDG, NCC of the concerned state. DDG NCC will process all applications and forward them to Date Gen NCC.

Combined Defence Services Examination CDS (II) by UPSC 2009

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2009 Including SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2009 on 13th September, 2009 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy for the courses commencing in July, 2009 and Officers Training academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women) commencing in October, 2010.

Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status

1. For Indian Military Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not later than 1st July 1991 only are eligible.

2. For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 (2nd July, 1986 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st July 1991 only are eligible.

3. For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July 1991 only are eligible.

4. For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July 1991 only are eligible.

5. For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course :(a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July, 1991.

(B) Educational Qualifications

6. For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.

7. For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

8. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2009 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Application form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-.

Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

22nd TES Entry January-2010 Course in Indian Army


INDIAN ARMY (10+2 Technical Entry Scheme Course - 22 Commencing from January 2010)

Applications are invited from unmarried male who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Indian Army.

1. Qualification : 10+2 (PCM) with 70% marks.

2. Age : 16 and half to 19 and half years i.e. born between 01 July 1990 and 01 July 1993 (both days inclusive)

3. Physical Standard: min. height 152 cm and weight 42 kg., better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18

4. Type of Commission : On successful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. in Arms/Services as per discretion of Army Hq.

5. Pay Scale : Candidates will be entitled to pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP and other allowances.

Method of Selection: Only selected (shortlisted) candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore for fives selection process. In which candidates will be put through Psychological test, Group Test and Interview.

JCO (Catering) entry in Army April'09

Become a Junior Commission Officer (JCO) (Catering) in the Army

Applications are invited from male candidates only for recruitment as Junior Commissioned Officer (Catering) in the Indian Army who fulfills the following eligibility criteria:

Vacancies : 04 posts

Qualification : 10+2 or equivalent from any Educational board recognised by Council of Board of School Education in India. (ii) Diploma / Certificate course of a duration of one year or more in Cookery/ Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a recognised Food Craft Institute / University. Candidates should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.

Age : 21-27 years as on 08/10/2007.

Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army

Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs.4200 plus Military Service Pay Rs.2000 and allowances as per Central Government.

Method of Selection:

Physical Fitness Test : After screening Physical Fitness test will be applicable as (i) 1 mile run in maximum 6.20 minutes and (ii) Pull up minimum of 6 (iii) Balance - Qualify (iv) 9 fit ditch - qualify

Written Examination : Only those candidates selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted only at HQ Recruiting Zone on 05 June 2009. The test will be of 3 hours of 3 hours.

Interview : Interview will be held for the successful candidates of the written test

Recruitment of Havildar Education in the Army Educational Corps in Group 'X' and 'Y' Havildar Education in Group 'X' and 'Y' are to be recruited for the army Education corps to impart education to troops.

§ Total vacancy : 273 posts (Science- 133 , Arts -140)

§ Age Limit : 20 to 25 years as on 05 Oct 2009.

§ Educational Qualification : Group X - BA B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed. or MA or M.Sc. from any recognised university. Group Y - BA or B.Sc. without B.Ed. from any recognised university. The candidates should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.

§ Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.288 plus Military Service Pay Rs.2000 and other allowances.

§ Selection Procedure : first there will a screening of the candidates for (i) Physical fitness Test and (ii) Medical Standards and (iii) those candidates selected in the screening and are medically fit will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted on at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 05 July 2009. After this written examination those who will be declared successful in the written exam will called for interview and training aptitude test at Panchmarhi (MP)
