2. Assistant Commandant General Duty Navigator : Qualification : B.Sc. with Mathematics and Physics, Age : born between 01 July 1983 to 30 June 1991.

Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot - Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders for Short Service Appointment) for a period of 8 years which may be extended to 10 years and my be further extended, Qualification : 12th pass or equivalent and possess current Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Age : born between 01 July 1983 to 30 June 1991.

4. Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Male only (Engineering and Electrical) : Qualification : Degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communication & Electronic/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control (Electrical) Engineering or equivalent (ii) Possession of Certificate of Competency by Govt. of India, Ministry of Surface Transport as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similar certificate OR (iii) Possession of final exam certificate of the College of Marine Engineering under Department of Surface Transport, Government of India OR (iv) Have passed Section A & B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the disciplines listed above, Age : Born between 01 July 1980 to 30 June 1989.

Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination , 2009

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written Examination on 11th October 2009 for recruitment of posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.

Eligibility

1. Age : Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st August, 2009. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

2. Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree of any recognised university or an equivalent qualification.

3. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

4. Sex : Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to CRPF and CISF. However, only male candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF, ITBP and SSB.

5. Possession of NCC B or C Certificate will be a desirable qualification. The desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/ Personality Test only.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.

Application Form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

Fee : Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).

How To Apply : All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by courier on or before the 8th June, 2009. Last date of application is 15th June 2008 for the candidates of far flung areas.
