Sub Inspector (Stenographer) (ASI - Steno) : 94 posts (UR-35, OBC-23, SC-20, ST-16), Pay Scale :PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2800/-, Qualification : Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent and 40 WPM typing speed in English or 30 wpm in Hindi and 80 wpm shorthand speed in Hindi/ English, Age : Between 18 and 25 years.

2. Head Constable (Ministerial) (HC - Ministerial) : 303 posts (UR-11, OBC-5, SC-3, ST-121, Departmental - 110, Ex-Serviceman -53), Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2400/-, Qualification : Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent and 30 WPM typing speed in English (25 wpm for SC/ST) or 25 wpm in Hindi) and On computer 35 wpm in English ( 30 wpm for SC/ST) 0r 30 wpm in Hindi. , Age : Between 18 and 25 years.

Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs.30/- per candidate belonging to General and OBC category and no fee will be charged from SC/ST candidates. The candidates to attach Crossed Indian Postal Order (Non-refundable) drawn in favour of name of the DIGP, GC-CRPF to whom the application is to be sent.

1. Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination , 2009

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written Examination on 11th October 2009 for recruitment of posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.

Eligibility

1. Age : Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st August, 2009. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

2. Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree of any recognised university or an equivalent qualification.

3. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

4. Sex : Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to CRPF and CISF. However, only male candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF, ITBP and SSB.

5. Possession of NCC B or C Certificate will be a desirable qualification. The desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/ Personality Test only.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.

Application Form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

Fee : Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).

How To Apply : All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by courier on or before the 8th June, 2009. Last date of application is 15th June 2008 for the candidates of far flung areas.
