Investigator vacancy in National Sample Survery Organisation

National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) (Field Operation Division), Ministry of Statistics & PI, Govt. of India

NSSO is recruiting Investigators for all states for Data collection in large scale sample surveys on contract basis for a period of one year. For this purpose, vacancies for Investigators are being notified in regional newspaper all over India in various states. This vacancy is for Delhi

1. Investigator : 28 posts, Qualification : Graduate degree with Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or Graduate in Commerce with statistics one of the papers at degree level and having fluency in local language and familiarity with local customs and tradition. Experience in conduct of survey and data collection work alongwith knowledge of computer applications is desirable., Age : 21-26 years, Remuneration : fixed consolidated salary of Rs.9000/- per month and TA/DA

Application Format : The application containing the information on Advertisement No., Citizenship, name in Block letters, Father's/ Husband's Name, Sex, Date of Birth, Address for communication, Permanent Address, Age as on 05/06/09, Category i.e. SC/ST/OBC/Gen., whether seeking age relaxation, educational qualification starting from Matriculation or equivalent to highest degree obtained alongwith Name of Exam, University/ Board, Year of Passing, %age of marks scored, alongwith the following declaration :

"I hereby declare that all the statement made in the application are true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that in the event of any information being found false or incorrect or ineligibility being detected before or after the examination, my candidature/ appointment is liable to be cancelled. I also declare that I have never been convicted by any court of law. I also undertake the sign the Term of Contract if selected for appointment on contract basis before joining my duties".
