POWER GRID requires dynamic & talented Engineers for its North Eastern Region Transmission System.Walk-In-Interview for Assistant Engineer (Electrical) on fixed tenure basis North Eastern Region Transmission System, plans to conduct Walk-In-Interview at Guwahati to engage 16 Graduate Engineers as Assistant Engineer (FTB), purely on fixed term basis for Rural Electrification and other Consultancy Work in state of Assam and in the Districts of West Tripura and South Tripura in the State of Tripura.

1. Assistant Engineer (FTB- 2 years) : 16 posts (UR-1, OBC- (NCL) - 9, SC-5, ST-1), Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc (Engg.) degree / AMIE in Electrical discipline from a recognized University/ Institution with minimum 55% marks. Age : 28 years, Relaxation in age as per rules.

2. Junior Engineer (FTB- 2 years) : 25 posts, Qualification : Diploma in Engineering in Electrical discipline from a recognized Polytechnic with minimum 55% marks, Age: 27 years,
Reservation to Ex-service men shall be provided as per Govt. directives.

Procedure of Walk-in Interview

1. Interested eligible candidates should send their applications completed in all respects in the prescribed proforma alongwith and/or attested copy of Caste/ PH/ J&K Domicile / EX-SM certificate to the following address superscribing on the top of envelope “Application for the Post of (Name of the Post) in POWER GRID”, by ordinary post only to : Chief Manager (HR), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Lapalang, P.O.Rynjah, Shillong – 793006, Meghalaya.

2. The names of candidates shortlisted for Walk-in Interview, shall be hosted in the Career Section of the POWERGRID website along with the time and date of Walk-in Interview.

3. The candidates shall download the format of Biodata, which shall be made available in the website along with the name of the candidates shortlisted for the walk-in interview and submit the same in duplicate along with necessary enclosures at the time of interview.
