Qualification : Good academic record with at least 55% of marks (relaxation of 5% for SC/ ST/ PH/ those holding Ph.D. and have obtained Master's degree prior to 1991) or its equivalent grade or B in the UGC seven point scale in Master's degree in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

Candidates should have cleared NET / CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. However, those candidates who are holding M.Phil or Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.
